FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to use PileJax™ for a midwater repair and not extend all the way to the sea/river bed?

Yes. The PileJax™ jackets do not need to extend all the way to the sea/river bed. Reusable clamps can be deployed to hold the jacket in place for a midwater only repair. Once the repair has cured to a sufficient hardness, the clamps can be removed and used on the next repair location. For large jobs we recommend using several clamps in a leapfrog fashion.

Can you do longer than 12m Jackets?

Our maximum standard length is 12m, however PileJax™ is a modular system, and can be extended. If you require longer jacket than 12m please contact us for a personalised solution.

We have previously used a wrap style system to repair our piled infrastructure. The repair has failed and needs to be reworked, is it still possible to use PileJax™ to produce a permanent repair?

Yes. PileJax™ can still be used to produce a permanent repair. Once the wrap is removed the PileJax™ system can be deployed. The jacket diameter will need to be larger to fully encapsulate the faulty repair. This is an ideal application of the PileJax™ system, please contact us and consult with our engineers for a site specific solution and a permanent fix.

What is the life span of a PileJax™ repair? And do you provide a warranty?

PileJax™ repairs are permanent, they have a 25 year warranty and an expected life of over 45 years. Given the correct conditions we are also happy to extend the warranty.

Can PileJax™ jackets be coloured?

PileJax™ jackets can be coloured. This is an option for large orders.

Is PileJax™ an Australian made product?

PileJax™ is designed, manufactured and tested in Australia with less than 25% imported content. Our international clients enjoy several options to have them produced internationally to minimize the coast of delivery. Large Markets like the USA enjoy domestic production.
